Memoirs of a Mummy

November 2018 Highlights

UP was in the UAAP Season 81 Final Four! Having studied in UPLB in highschool and UP Diliman in college, this was a huge deal for me. I watched the game against Adamson from our house in Laguna. I was screaming so loud that the kids woke up crying. My mom closed the windows because she was worried what the neighbors will think. She described me as mukhang baliw. For game 2, I was having dinner with people I work with. As soon as I arrived, I apologized and explained that watching the game was very important. I tried not to curse during turnovers and raise my fist and shout YES everytime UP scored but I failed many times. Haha. I am sure the diners from other tables stared at me but who cares? We were going to the Finals! Thank you UP Fighting Maroons for giving us that celebratory moment. Watching the compilation of the videos from different UP campuses when buzzer rang and it was official that we were in the Finals made me cry like a baby. Grabe this UAAP high lasted for weeks.

Proudly wore my UP jacket to work kahit di bagay sa dress. This is the first thing I bought from my first salary.

Haha. I was supposed to write about December highlights. I just realized that the games against Adamson happened in November. Oh well, let’s just make this a November post, shall we?

I can’t remember what we did on my birthday. What did we do? I went to work. What else? I have been staring at the laptop for a couple of minutes. Franco did greet me in Facebook and posted my picture wearing a kimono. Haha, I really can’t recall what happened that day.

I did get an early birthday celebration with Lola Do, Jyl and Jana. We decided to celebrate in Bellevue because my sister and niece were migrating to the US. Huhuhu. After comparing prices, we chose to stay in Bellevue again because they had the most affordable 2-bedroom suite with club room access. We love club rooms for the unli pastries and juices plus cocktail dinner. Super sulit! With Lola Do’s magic card aka senior card, we paid only PHP 9.5K. After check out, we had a Chinese feast with Tita Sor’s family to celebrate my Kuya Arvin’s 40th birthday.

Aoki’s awake. Got to go. In case I miss to blog about it. The highlight of November was our trip to Tokyo with Aki.
